Scissor Sisters - Tah-Dah
Although the Scissor Sister's are more well known internationaly than in the US alone their debut album still found it's way into pop and alternative music lovers alike. On "Ta-Dah," the glammed-up gang returns with its unique blend of pop/rock, disco beats and singer Jake Shears' captivating falsetto. You can practically see Shears strutting his stuff on tracks like "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'," co-written by Elton John.

Janet Jackson - 20 Y.O.
Almost as significantly, the album is roughly 20 minutes shorter than usual, with only a handful of interludes, so there's little meandering, in turn making it easier to become familiar with the curves. What really differentiates the album from its predecessors is that there's almost no trace of tension to be heard. It's all about fooling around and being in love.

Jerry Lee Lewis - Last Man Standing
There's no one that doesn't like Jerry Lee, at least according to the guest list for the Killer's first record in 10 years. Featuring guest turns from Bruce, Neil, Willie Nelson, Buddy Guy, John Fogerty, B.B. King, Clapton, three Stones and about a dozen others, this record may be the most stacked cameo-heavy victory lap ever.

Alan Jackson - Like Red on a Rose
After taking a gospel diversion on last year's "Precious Memories," we might expect Alan Jackson's next effort to return to mainstream country. Instead the veteran hat act recruited Alison Krauss to produce what was supposed to be a bluegrass outing but morphed into a Don Williams-style set of gentle melodies that's one of the best things Jackson's ever recorded.
