High School Musical

Disney's High School Musical recently went down in the Guinness Book of World Records for Most Successful Songs from a Soundtrack. Which I guess makes sense with 7.7 million people that watched it on TV and 3.5 million people that bought the CD. But whose to say that the just because people watched and bought the CD that tthe songs are good? Well in February of this year nine of the songs from the soundtrack charted in the US Top 100.

Now this isn't the first time the movie has been recognized, they are used to it by now. They shared the 2006 Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program with the HBO documentary "I have Tourette's But Tourette's Doesn't Have Me". They also got an Emmy for Outstanding Choreography as well as Outstanding Music and Lyrics for "Breaking Free" and "Get'cha Head In The Game". The movie was also the first movie available for download on iTunes.
