These hot new headphones from Jensen are not just stylish headphones for your MP3 player, they are your MP3 player. The concept behind the stylish set is that people on the go don't want to spend alot of time fumbling with controls. The Hydra Sports MP3 Player

The Hydra MP3 Player lives up to its name, or does it?  Enfolded in a rubberized casing, the Hydra MP3 player is a rugged and sporty looking player.  But the test results seem to be only slightly better than any other electronic device on the market.

Playing in the rain a bit, maybe even passing the Hydra player over running water won’t hurt it much.  But, submerging it or holding it under a running faucet for a few seconds could kill it.  The makers of this MP3 player ironically states "avoid contact with liquids."  A very safe disclaimer.

On the plus side The Hydra MP3 Player is available in 1GB and 2GB versions, and they are $40 to $60 respectively, and even cheaper if you search for them online.

Credit Card Thin MP3 Player

What’s the ‘skinny’ on the latest MP3 player?  The Walletex Wallet MP3 Player goes for about the size of a credit card, which is the similar size of the Walletex Flash drives.

This MP3 player stores 128MB to 2GB worth of music and can be custom designed for use as free promotional offers.  You can attach your headphones to the USB adapter which can connect to the player.  Plugging the player directly into your PC makes it easy to transfer your favorite music.

It’s due to be released in June of 2007, with no pricing information thus far.

CD Player Wannabe

We’re comfortably sure this lame piece of work will play out in the nearest of futures, but we’ll tell you about it anyway.  So, here it goes.

Noting contently that this baby will remain in Korea, this 128mb digital album player is only good for the one album you purchased.  It displays the album on the outside of the player, as if you’ve really purchased the CD.  Of course, you’ll need head phones and batteries to get the party started.  We say just buy the CD and have a field day.

Maybe if this player would hold more than 1 CD it would be worth it. A lot of MP3 players feature album art now and this one takes it to the next step, but HAVE A BIGGER HARD DRIVE.

Looking Back on 2006

Looking back on 2006, music artists have offered a myriad of songs fluctuating from tolerable to x-rated.

Justin Timberlake oozes “Sexyback, while Nelly Furtado smooths out “I Wanna Love You”.  The album lyric gushes out a little more than just ‘love.’  Britney Spears is another story… rated XHO (Sexually Hungy Only);

But, fear not.  Parents and children alike are letting it be known that their musical attraction is to milder melodies, like Carrie Underwood’s “Some Hearts, which Billboard measures as the top seller; and Rascal Flatts’ “Me and My Gang.”

Hip-hop has also rapped a little less foulness this year.  Though not completely clean in its lyrics, Young Dro’s “Shoulder Lean”, Yung Joc’s “It’s Goin’ Down “, and Jim Jones’s “We Fly High” all produced some G-rated dance moves. At age 20, Bow Wow (formerly Lil Bow Wow) does it up foul-mouthed with “The Price of Fame”.  He seems to attract the younger crowd with his child-like rap croons and looks.

All-in-all, 2006 songs have been a collage of listen-or-cover-your-child’s-ears entertainment.
