Thinkin' of Swimmin'

This week's YouTube video of the week is "Thinkin' Of Swimmin" by Alex "Stoloff" with animation by Noriko Oura. I really like this video because it is the first of the YouTube videos that is animated. So far this artist hasn't done much and is still trying to get her music heard and out there, so here I am getting it out there for everyone to hear.

To be honest I've been looking on YouTube a lot lately and have not seen a good video for awhile, so if you are an up and coming artist with a video and want to get it out there please contact me.

Michael Sharpe's Significant Thoughts

Can you believe we are already at our 4th YouTube video of the week? If you are new to the site the YouTube video of the week is a segment I created that helps portry how YouTube has revolutionized the entertaiment industry and allow up and coming musical artists to get exposure even if they don't have a multi million dollar contract read more.

This weeks video is very similar to our premiere video. It's is an intimate session with you and the artist, Michael Sharpe. The song is titled Significant Thoughts and is an original piece by Michael. Michael has been playing and writing music for 13 years now, and although hes been in a few bands throughout the years he's trying the solo thing now.

The Tra La La Song

Well here we go again with the 3rd YouTube video of the week. When I saw this video I could not stop laughing. The video I chose features the song "Tra La La" by Gunther. Unlike our past two videos this one is not a music video for an original song but rather two guys just messing around.

Jason and Nathan (the two guys in the video) say "We're just two crazy brothers from Texas who love screwing around and making funny videos. I guess we just hoped to become somewhat popular with our video, make something that other people would get a kick out of."

The Little Red Bear

Well it's time once again for our YouTube video of the week. When I first saw this video I absolutly LOVED it. The video is titled "Misery's Hole" and is an original production by the New Zealand band Trashing Marlin.

The video features a red bear that travels all over the place and interacts with other creatures such as insects. This video was so good that it made it to the finals of the DIY Handle the jandal music video awards in New Zealand.

YouTube Video of The Week

YouTube has revolutionized the way we view entertainment. Before, you would turn on your TV and you would have to watch whatever was on or you didn’t watch anything at all. But with YouTube YOU get to pick the content YOU want to watch. YouTube has also helped up and coming musical artists get their music out there for the world to hear even if they don’t have a multi million dollar contract.

Every week I will be picking a music video from YouTube.com. Some are created just for comic relief while others are serious musicians trying to get some exposure. Some artists also create their own music while others just do covers. This weeks spotlight falls on Leona Daly.
